SDU’S WHISTLEBLOWER SCHEME
SDU’s whistleblower scheme can be used to report all serious legal offences and other serious matters concerning SDU confidentially and securely. For example, this could be suspicion or knowledge of illegal, unethical behaviour or misconduct, including matters relating to bribery and corruption, misuse of financial resources, theft, fraud, embezzlement and other financial crime, as well as serious or repeated violations of ethical rules in the field of research, academic misconduct, conflicts of interest, cases of sexual harassment or other serious molestation as well as serious or repeated violations of the law in general. The examples are not exhaustive.
The scheme will be used to bring to light issues that would not otherwise have come to the attention of SDU.
The whistleblower scheme is primarily intended for employees at SDU. However, the scheme can also be used by:
All disclosures must be made in good faith. This means that you must have reasonable grounds to believe that the reported information is correct at the time of reporting and that the information is covered by the scheme. This also means that the scheme must not be used to deliberately report incorrect information.
The whistleblower schemes should be considered a supplement to existing options for contacting your immediate manager, the HR department, your union or health and safety representative, etc. If you, as an employee at SDU, are aware of or have reasonable suspicion of illegal or unethical conduct or misconduct, etc. at SDU, you should always consider whether the problems can be resolved by using the normal channels.
Whistleblowing reports can be made confidentially by specifying your name and contact details, or you can choose to report anonymously. To read more about what you need to be aware of in this connection, see the item "Anonymity" in the menu above. In the menu, you can also read more about the framework for using SDU’s whistleblower scheme. See "Whistleblower Policy". For information about the processing of personal data in the whistleblower scheme, see item "Privacy Policy".
From this page, you can file a new secure report or follow up on an existing report.
Follow-up on your report may be relevant for several reasons:
1) You want to view the status of your report to check whether further case processing has taken place.
2) You wish to provide additional information for your report.
3) The Whistleblower Unit has requested additional information from you to help them follow up on your report.
When you want to follow up on your report, you need the password that you received when you submitted the report. We ask you therefore to keep this password.
