Nursing School of Coimbra
Reporting Channel
As part of its institutional policy, the Nursing School of Coimbra (ESEnfC) does not tolerate any manifestation of abuse of power, moral and sexual harassment, improper conduct, conflict of interest, corruption and related offenses, discrimination or prejudice, fraud, theft, failure to comply with standards of ethical conduct, breach of confidentiality or information security, or misuse of its resources, as well as other practices that harm or compromise the rights of its educational community and its image or interests. Therefore, the ESEnfC is committed to responding appropriately and proportionately to any reported situation.
In accordance with Article 8 of the General Regime for the Prevention of Corruption (RGPC) and the General Regime for the Protection of Whistleblowers (RGPDI), the ESEnfC has created this channel to report acts of corruption or related offenses, as well as any breach or non-compliance with its principles and ethical values, in order to prevent, detect and sanction improper conduct.
This channel is guided by the principles of independence, impartiality, confidentiality, and secrecy from the moment the report is received until it is resolved.
This channel is designed for receiving and following up on reports in a secure manner that ensures the completeness, integrity, and preservation of the information, protects the confidentiality of the identity or anonymity of the whistleblower and any third party mentioned in the report, and prevents access thereto by non-authorized staff members.
A credible report should include a clear and complete description of the facts, the persons and/or entities involved, the circumstances of time and place, and any other elements considered relevant.
There are two forms of reporting wrongdoings available to individuals within or outside the School’s community:
Anonymous reporting - no personal information is collected from the whistleblower;
Confidential reporting - the confidentiality of the identity of the whistleblower is protected and the personal data provided are processed in accordance with the RGPDI, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the applicable legal and informed consent information. The identity of the whistleblower will only be disclosed if there is a legal obligation to do so. Without prejudice to other legal provisions, the whistleblower will be notified in writing of the reasons for the disclosure of confidential data, unless such information compromises the related investigations or judicial proceedings.
First, please choose how you would like to report: report anonymously or report confidentially.
In accordance with Article 11 of the GDPR, you can follow up on your report.
