The Internal Information System of the University of Santiago de Compostela is the internal channel established by the USC to report actions or omissions at the University that may constitute breaches of European Union law, as provided for in Law 2/2023, of February 20, regulating the protection of individuals who report on regulatory and anti-corruption violations.
The Internal System shall apply to persons who provide information on offenses in a work or professional context, including in any case persons who have the status of public employees and persons belonging to the administrative, management or supervision body of foundations or companies owned by the USC and any person who works for or under the supervision and direction of contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
It will also apply to informants who communicate or disclose information about offenses obtained within the framework of an employment or statutory relationship that has already ended, volunteers, interns, workers in training periods regardless of whether they receive remuneration or not, as well as to those whose employment relationship has not yet begun, in cases where information about violations is obtained during the selection process.
The written and verbal channels that are part of the Internal System, as well as their management, are secure and confidential and are hosted in an independent medium outside the USC systems. In the case of opting for anonymity, neither IP addresses nor metadata of any kind are saved in the documentation you provide. If the verbal channel is used, the voice may be distorted.
