NOVA University of Lisbon's Whistleblower Portal is intended to communicate all reports:
(i) within the scope of application of the General Regime for the Protection of Whistleblowers of Infringements (GDPR), approved by Law No. 93/2021, of December 20, which transposed Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and the Council, of October 23, 2019, into the national legal system;
(ii) within the scope of application of the General Regime for the Prevention of Corruption (RGPC), approved by Decree-Law No. 109-E/2021, of December 9;
(iii) Discrimination and moral and/or sexual harassment.
It is an impartial and independent portal that receives and processes your report(s) with confidentiality and confidentiality, from receipt to resolution.
After submitting your report, an access code will be automatically generated, which you must securely preserve. This access code will allow you to consult and monitor the status of your report, as well as make further communications or provide clarifications.
All communications regarding the status of your report, request for clarification and sending additional information will be made through this platform, which you must access using your access code.
After submitting the report, you will receive within seven days a notification indicating the receipt of the report, as well as information on the requirements, competent authorities, and form of admissibility for filing an external report.
The processing of personal data in the context of a report process complies with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation, approved by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of April 27, 2016, in Law No. 58/2019, of August 8, which ensures the execution, in the national legal order, of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, and in Law No. 59/2019, of August 8, which approves the related rules the processing of personal data for the purpose of preventing, detecting, investigating or prosecuting criminal offences or enforcing criminal sanctions .

All users of the Whistleblower Portal are protected by law, prohibiting any type of retaliation, ensuring anonymity (when desired by the whistleblower) and/or confidentiality. The security of the information shared is guaranteed and only those exclusively designated by NOVA will have access to it.
Reports must be made in good faith. The misuse and/or the provision of false statements are serious and jeopardize the purpose of this channel and are punishable under legal terms.
