i3S, IBMC and IPATIMUP Whistleblowing Channel (or Speak Up)

This internal whistleblowing channel (the "Internal Whistleblowing Channel") was created under the General Regime for the Protection of Whistleblowers established by Law No. 93/2021 of 20 December (the "Whistleblower Protection Law") and the General Scheme for the Prevention of Corruption, established by Decree-Law No. 109-E/2021 of 9 December (the "RGPC").

The Internal Whistleblowing Channel is part of the Regulatory Compliance Program of i3S, IBMC and IPATIMUP, which also includes a Code of Conduct, a Plan for the Prevention of Risks of Corruption and Related Infractions and a Training Program. For more information, please see our "Transparency" page here.

The Internal Whistleblowing Channel is intended to receive reports of infractions covered by the Whistleblower Protection Law and the RGPC, as explained in detail in the "Whistleblowing Policy" that can be consulted here; complaints related to moral and sexual harassment and malpractices in scientific research.

The Internal Whistleblowing Channel is not the appropriate place to submit other types of complaints, namely those related to Human Resources matters (with the exception of harassment in the workplace).

Whitsleblowing reports can be made with identification and contact details or, if the whistleblower prefers, anonymously.

All reports are treated confidentially and securely.

How to create a report:

1. Select the "Create a new report" option

2. Follow the instructions and fill in all the required fields

3. Select the "Submit" option

4. After submitting the report, make sure to save the one-time passcode. You can use the one-time passcode to access and track your report (e.g., check report status, provide additional information)

i3S ensures that, in the case of reports of sexual and moral harassment and research misconduct and unacceptable practices (not covered by the General Scheme for the Prevention of Corruption - RGPC - and the protection of Whistleblowers (Law no. 93/2021 of 20 December), whistleblowers benefit from the protection that may be granted through the adoption of internal regulatory mechanisms.
